Post-Doctoral Research Station
Established in 2003 under CNPA Circular (2003) No. 74, Shenzhen Capital Group started its Post-Doctoral Research Workstation (PDRWS). This is the country’s first such workstation for the venture capital industry. After 12 years of development, SCGC’s PDRWS counts over 30 PhD’s inducted into its ranks. The workstation is organized on specific industries with a focus onmacro trends and investment and risk control strategies. Industries covered include: information technology, Internet, new media, entertainment, biotechnology, health care, energy savings, environmental protection, new energy, new materials, chemicals, consumer goods, advanced manufacturing industry, etc. Most outbound postdoctoral participants enter the venture capital industry with over 60% remaining at Shenzhen Capital Group.
